Giancarlo Castellanos serves as the Head of Quality and Internal Control at Passage Health International LLC, a role he has held since 2019. With over 15 years of experience in the revenue cycle management industry, Giancarlo is a results-driven professional specializing in medical insurance claims, billing, and operational excellence. His leadership has been instrumental in optimizing quality control processes and enhancing client satisfaction, ensuring Passage Health remains at the forefront of global healthcare services.
Prior to joining Passage Health, Giancarlo was the Provider Relations Manager at Global Medical Management Inc. (2016–2018), where he oversaw the negotiation department. In this role, he ensured the achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs), maximized cost containment through effective negotiations, and successfully managed appeals and communications with clients and service providers.
Earlier in his career, Giancarlo served as PPO/TPA Claims Supervisor at AXA Assistance USA (2012–2016), leading a team of 25+ employees across the U.S. and managing 20+ employees in Panama and India. He spearheaded claims processing, negotiations, and timely resolutions, all while upholding company policies. His ability to collaborate with partners and providers ensured smooth claim settlements and strengthened relationships between stakeholders.
Giancarlo began his journey in the healthcare industry as a Senior Claims Examiner at HAA Preferred Partners/AXA Assistance USA (2008–2012). During this time, he focused on obtaining maximum discounts through HMO/PPO networks and ensured the accurate and efficient processing of claims for insurance companies worldwide.
